Dental Services

West Salem Dental Clinic
Northwest Human Services began offering dental services in the
year 2000. At that time, only one dentist for every 10,818 people
with low income served Marion and Polk Counties. Indeed, the shortage
was so great that the Federal Government designated the two counties
Dental Health Professional Shortage Areas. Northwest Human Services
responded by inaugurating the only sliding fee scale dental program
in Marion and Polk Counties.
The Dental Clinic operates adjacent to the West
Salem Clinic and offers full-service family dental practice. The
clinic serves the dental care needs of approximately 1,000 clients
per year with a total of 2,000 visits.
Northwest Human Service Dental Clinic clientele
consists of the following:
- People with low income
- Clients of Northwest Human Services HOAP Program
- Migrant farm workers
- Oregon Health Plan members
- Insured patients
NOTE: We currently are accepting a limited number of new patients. For those who neither have insurance nor the means to pay for their dental treatment, we can arrange a payment plan based on a sliding fee scale. We encourage you to discuss your particular situation with our staff.
I want to thank the entire
staff at Northwest Human Services Dental Clinic. What a terrific
group of professionals! The dentist and his assistant were so
caring and gentle that the extraction of my tooth was painless.
They made me feel relaxed and safe. I am so pleased and thankful
for the wonderful dental care I received at the clinic. Thank
you.
Charles, a Northwest Human Services Dental Clinic
